Let the corruption begin...I mean, continue!
Here's how it's going to go: Baller B. Ballplayer is a five star, highly sought recruit. Duke (Nike) wants him. IU (Adidas) wants him. Nike offers $100,000 a year to play at Duke, and be their spokesjock. Adidas offers $50,000 to go to IU, and be THEIR spokesjock. Baller signs with Nike. But wait. Duke already has 12 five star recruits. Say, Baller... how about you go to Minnesota, so you can beat on IU every year instead? What's this? Coach K is grumbling about the influence of shoe companies? Well, here are some three star athletes making 10k. Fill your roster with those, and watch the wins disappear. Then the shoe companies decide, "Why are we paying these schools to use our gear? They should be paying us to use our athletes!" The NCAA is about to change recruiting on a massive scale. The shoe companies will do the recruiting, and send kids to wherever the company needs to. This is a terrible idea.

NFL and NBA should make minor leagues work like they do in baseball. Problem solved.
Let the real student-athletes play collegiate sports again.
I'm tired of hearing “Richard” Bilas’ continued harping on this subject.
