From the few games I've watched, appears the defense is improving but I did notice some issues against Valpo. Granted they were quicker than others and would expose weaknesses.
Several times i didnt see appropriate help on a baseline drive. That opens up opportunities for the old fashioned 3 point play. Also noted Webers footwork is slow. He let several guys get around him. That causes issues for the bigs underneath.
Just a a couple of quick observations. I know that they have seen this and will work on it. Hopefully the players will be able to adapt.

I don't think those problems were unique to the Valpo game.

We lack perimeter quickness so that's something to be addressed in recruiting. It's makes having a rim protector vital.

We lack perimeter quickness so that's something to be addressed in recruiting. It's makes having a rim protector vital. We have to stop the ball by stepping in and helping our guards sometimes. We play man to man, but are supposed to have some zone principles (so called pack line) to offset the drive to the basket. Our big guys had to go out and guard Valpo's star, could not stay packed in, and that hurt us some. Moses was decent at the rim, but when he is out of the game, House and Calhoun, have trouble, unless both are back to clog things up.
