We will possibly play again in Cleveland We could because I think we can play with anyone in the west. If we do we have to figure something out cause they made us look bad.. Niu and specifically German will be a pain in the ass

We got beat in just about every statistical category and somehow one guy who comes off the bench, who’s not a good shooter or ball handler and is 6’3 would somehow make up a 15 point difference all by himself?

Due to the technical problems with the CBS broadcast, I switched to the radio broadcast. Both Joel and David spoke about the officiating and how bad it was. Calls only seemed to go one way. Since I didn't see much of the second half, I have no idea. Joel asked David why Teague was not as prolific in the second; he responded that Akron doubled Taj in the second half.
Go Cards!

This could possibly be our only conference loss of the regular season

We look tired in the second half. No bench depth, only have 8 players who are good enough to see the court. . No we have great depth this year... We so often get away from what works, like feeding Teague. We stabilize when we go back to it. But too late. Whitford historically has no answers when we get out of whack and teams go on a run against us. CBS had a close-up on Whitford with about 1 minute to go. He looked totally flummoxed.

RF I didn’t notice bad officiating, just domination from Akron. They are clearly on another level. We don’t really have a chance against them if we see them in Cleveland.

Whit needs to play his bigs in the end of games like this especially Thomas. The only way I see us beating that team is hitting 50% on 3s & committing half the turnovers they do.

It seems like there's always someone in the East who's "on another level" compared to us. For awhile it was Kent State, recently it was Buffalo, now it appears to be Akron.
It's like recruiting has consequences or something.

Niu and specifically German will be a pain in the ass We can win the west. But Akron right now is superior, and Kent might be too. We’ve struggled with BG’s athleticism and length. Any team with quick guards is a problem for us. Coleman and Bumbalough can’t keep guys in front of them and we don’t handle the ball well enough. Teague is a stud and we need to do everything we can to get him a ton of good shots in the paint.

No Cardfan, what I said is potentially a 11 point scorer with 5-6 rebounds and a steal or two plus home court could have possibly changed the outcome???
You aren’t counting home court at all in your comment

We cannot match their quickness. Anytine you have to switch out front you are in trouble. We are a terrible on the ball defensive team. You switch and chase leads to bad outcomes and we got that tonight. Akron’s point guard abused us. Lack of strength is also a major problem. Just don’t understand his philosophy on staying so thin. Teague is very good when he can roam and take advantage of mismatches. The problem is we don’t have enough complimentary players to take advantage of his strengths. Not seen Kent play but we are a full step below Akron and it sounds as if we are a step below Kent. Lots of games left but this one was bad.

You aren’t counting home court at all in your comment homecourt will always help some.. It would not have won us this game. Also Cleveland is not Worthern and it might as well be a home game for either Kent or Akron..
