Not an easy team to beat at home 10-1 probably not one we should win but won we could have won!
Free throws and poor shot selection lost the game

Cards played much better in the second half, but failed to hit freebies late in the game. 50% from the line in a close game is just not going to be good enough to get the win.
The red and white have played the last four of five on the road. Hopefully they will play better in Worthen.
Go Cards!

We can’t keep losing games we have a chance to win in the final minutes. But we find a way.
Teams with good guards are a real problem for us. (And we can’t have Mallers giving us literally zero)

5-27 from three pt land. 10-20 from the line. Every game it’s a different way to self inflict. We let Turner score 13 in the last three minutes and our guards just wilted. If you can’t get good guard play on the road you’re destined to always fall short, folks. What the hell happened to Mallers? My goodness what a turd he laid. You can’t have your one remaining impactful Senior besides Teague completely throw up on his shoes. It just can’t happen. And I’m sorry but dammit KJ has to suck it up, tape it up, shoot it up or something and play. We need him and there are 12 games left in his college career. Time to play son.

Terrible shot selection by El Amin tonight I'm not sure this is really any different than normal. It's just that he's been shooting a high % in MAC games, so we've overlooked his shot selection shortcomings.

Yeah, but of the 3 pointers we made we hit 100%.

Can we be honest for a second? We are now 10-9 (sorry, but I don't count non-D1 wins) against a pretty weak schedule. Does this sound familiar to any of you?

Statistically, we are right where we should be. As you know, we can only look at MAC performance (like opponents, like region, like recruiting pool, yada, yada). We have to throw out the first two 2-16 seasons because, you know, Whit was left with NOTHING. That makes us 41-38 (thru tonite) in MAC contests in those 4+ years. We are now 4-3. I give you.....”Clicking on all fires”

Just watched the replay... Another one that gets away. Too many young kids playing to many minutes. No floor leader to calm things down. Win the home games I guess

And no In game bench coach to adapt and adjust and get us settled down. Whit isn’t a strong personality when it gets tough. We aren’t able to sustain good play so we end up on a roller coaster.

This is our annual January - early February collapse. We will get on a streak again in mid February and things will look promising before the annual MAC tourney first round collapse..... I am not sure if you guys have noticed this yet, but it has been the same story since 2015

I fully expect us to win 4 in a row and then go back in the tank.
