Thanks for posting the Baseball America preseason conference review. Do you know if Akron is playing with players on scholarships or not? Initially I had read they would not have any scholarships which if true I would think be impossible to win with. Let's face it if the other teams could steal their best players by offering them scholarships they would amount to a try out camp team.

It will be interesting to see if CMU just caught lightning in a bottle last year. Our pitching staff has a chance to be one of, if not the best in the history of the league. Navarro is back - hopefully he can stay healthy. Losing him was huge last year.

Opening Day tomorrow 💘 at Georgia Southern who were 35-24 last year 4 game weekend series. GA Southern is a tough 4-game opening series on the road. Good test, especially for the depth of our pitching given pitch counts will probably be kept under 70-80. |

They were runner-up to Coastal Carolina in Sun Belt Tourney last year. This is a good test. |

Baker was very solid against a team that has been outside for over a month. Reliever had a very rough outing. Hitting appears to be starting slow as usual for northern teams.
