Coach Knight showed up at Assembly Hall for the first time in 20 years, and all I could think of while watching it was "damn he looks bad." I grew up an IU fan watching him coach but have mostly moved on from the whole saga, so I couldn't really care if he ever showed back up or not, but seeing him now. I'd be shocked if he lives another year. He just did not look good.

Agree with you. It was a nice tribute and pretty much had to be done but I had the impression it was now or never with the shape he was in.
oh, and some of the players looked older than most of y’all on here 😁

He's 79. Man, tough crowd. I thought Purdue's #12 Boudreaux looked like the oldest guy on the Assembly Hall floor today.

He's 79. Man, tough crowd. I don't mean it in a bad or disrespectful way, I just think his health is the only reason he came back, and to see him live he looked way worse than I had imagined when people like Fisch said his health was 'declining'

Agree. He looked much older than 79.

ESPN announcers said that Bob Knight and Gene Keady were attending the Pacer's game tonight together.
Man. I wish I had the seats behind the two of them to hear some stories. I'm sure they'll be in a suite somewhere in Banker's Life.

I hadn't heard Knight was confirmed for the Pacers game. I knew Keady was going, but it'll be nice to see the Pacers honor the two best coaches the state has produced (no offense to coach Whit)

... it'll be nice to see the Pacers honor the two best coaches the state has produced (no offense to coach Whit) So you're not counting that guy named Wooden here? I mean, among the three, he's the only one the state actually did produce.

I mean, among the three, he's the only one the state actually did produce. I should have worded it better, I meant the best coaches to have coached in the state. Wooden was only in Indiana for 2 years before heading out west. An argument could be made for Digger Phelps at Notre Dame too.

Knight could not carry Wooden’s bag as a coach, or a human
