MLB leadership has let down the fans and players. A $5 million fine and loss of a couple draft picks? Hell, I'd make that trade to win the World Series. Every time.
I think this guy has a case.

Players should have been suspended.

Every employee involved banned from MLB.
Manager and coaching staff fired and banned.
Any players involved suspended for a season.
Send a message.

I honestly gotta believe Manfred didn't want to take on the MLBPA in this one. He doesn't have god-tier powers like Goodell has, and to try and suspend players would have been a huge fight. Baseball has a history of trying to sweep things like this under the rug, and this is just the latest example.

OK....so a major league .300 hitter comes to the plate and now knows EVERY pitch that is coming at him.
What is NOW that particular hitter’s percentage of getting a hit?

OK....so a major league .300 hitter comes to the plate and now knows EVERY pitch that is coming at him. What is NOW that particular hitter’s percentage of getting a hit? Quite a bit. In rough terms, reaction time is under 0.4 secs. It takes under 0.2 secs to recognize pitch (speed, type & location), so you can physically react in 0.2 secs. It's a big thing.
