Cards down by 5 at the under 5 TO. Teague with only one bucket at this time.
Go Cards!

Gone from bad to worse for the red and white. Down by 11 at the half and have not scored for 5 minutes. Way too many turnovers, and many are unforced. No energy and sense of urgency by the Cards. In all fairness, this is probably the best I have seen Eastern play since the late 1990's, but the Cards need to step up their game before things get worse. Maybe play a zone against Eastern. Most people don't like their own stuff.
Go Cards!

We are a bad team. We have one good player in Teague. When he is off we have no chance. The freshmen show some promise, but you shouldn’t have to rely on them. El-Amin is extremely overrated. He shoots a lot and usually has a bad shooting % outside of one game a week ago. He also turns it over way too much. Mallers and Hazen basically bring nothing to the team. It’s too bad Gunn is out this year, because he could actually hit threes. It’s not fun to watch a team that can’t shoot and turns the ball over constantly.

So after the game are you quite so negative...felt pretty good walking out of Worthen today myself.
Coleman and Bumbalough are fighters who will win games for us this year and in the future. Still no KJ but Acree was pretty effective in limited minutes. We have some good things going here.

It feels better but I still don’t feel great about the team. Most of what I said is true. We aren’t a bad team, just mediocre. That first half was ugly and my comments came from frustration. Even if we have some promising freshmen, I’m not sure it will matter if we don’t have a big man once Teague leaves.

Only a MAC tourney championship will change that.
