Head to head match up has little to do with this in my view

How does Loren Cristian Jackson get no love from you guys for POY.
He's second in the league in scoring (0.6 points behind German), first in three-pointers made, 2nd in 3P FGA Pct., third in FT Pct., 4th in assists, 2nd in A/TO ratio and 12th in overall FG Pct.
He's played the fourth most minutes in the league for the best team.
Stat wise, Turner and German do NOT compare.

To me Turner is a big time player and clutch while German is streaky and enigmatic.

Head to head match up has little to do with this in my view I get that, and I kind of agree. However, if I was trying to decide between two players who played similar positions (even if they didn't necessarily go up against each other), I might look at their head-to-head results. And I probably would favor the player on the better team. But that's just me and I don't get a vote.

If we finish 5th, I don’t really care if we have multiple all conference players.
Down the stretch, Teague has fouled out 3 of the last 5 games and averaged 9.6 points. He has certainly rebounded well in those games, though.

Teague’s chances are boosted I suppose because it’s a coaches vote. Like I said in the original post, he was a 🔒 as recently as three weeks ago but I think he has tired down the stretch, mentally more so than physically, and his numbers have shown that plus fouling out has not helped. Knapke from Toledo is the guy who could edge out Taj. He’s probably the best overall true big man in the league.

Turner just seems to be the most clutch almost automatic offensive player in the league to me. German is going to end up as the 5th or 6th all time scorer in league history which is also pretty amazing. Should be a photo finish among those three I’d guess.

I think Teague will get it I think he did enough and 5 player of the weeks will be enough. I do think though the old Teague has returned for BSU and thats not going to be enough in Cleveland. It also would not surprise me to see the voters leave Teague off.. Im not saying there is a bias but BSU gets shorted often on these Mac teams

Theron Smith didn't even win POTY after a truly phenomenal year (like 22/ 12 if I remember right). Teague has faded badly, and MAC coaches don't vote BSU very easily. I'm like RC - doubt he even gets first team at this point.

Win and I think they have to give it to him. Lose and I think it’s a toss up.

We definitely need to win tomorrow night to boost his chances to make first team. We need a big night from him.

That'd make a nice end to the regular season.
