Wow. How deep does this go? Not trying to connect the dots or anything, but I never understood why the authorities went into the school a couple of weeks ago and locked down all the entrances while they did their investigation after Kyle resigned.....

Standard police procedure when a search warrant is being served. They're making sure nobody can bolt the premises with anything of interest while they're there.

Cox was arrested by the FBI today. Details are sketchy in the news, but this appears to involve a teenager and a police report that was filed on January 4th, about 3 weeks after he quit his job.

Official charges announced include solicitation and production of child pornography. Jesus. That guy had EVERYTHING going for him. So disappointing. Nobody who knows him who I have talked to has said anything but that they are surprised. Maybe it is not quite as bad as it sounds, I don't know what the definition of those charges are under Federal Statute. Everybody is innocent until proven guilty and so on. I want to believe that it's not what it sounds like.

BSSN is right, just bringing charges regardless of the outcome wrecks Kyle's life. I think we all fear that where there is smoke there is fire. We don't know anything about this, I suppose in the worst case a charge might be made against a totally innocent person, simply because files are on a computer or email or text was used that are linked back to Kyle. Of course a hack is possible that creates all the evidence, and might give somebody else access and result in use of a computer without the owners knowledge. I don't want to say I hope Kyle is guilty but we would hope our government would be very careful in making these highly damaging charges. Here's a little information, but not sure it even makes it clear what the charge is really about, assuming it is solicitation and child pornography. From US Attorney's ManualPretty broad range of things that might count as solicitation possible, and the whole area of pornography has had a long history of difficult interpretation of the term. "I can't define it but know it when I see it."

Even if he's found completely innocent of all charges, he'll never get that albatross off his neck. Nope. Well all I can say is I feel bad for Tony Cox as I always found him to be a good guy. Never met Kyle and would only hope somehow he gets exonerated from all this and is truly innocent! If not my heart goes out to Tony and family.

From a friend who has connection to Park Tudor, I heard it was a 15 year old girl he was messing with intially by texting. Those charges are all serious and inexcusable with anybody entrusted with kids. He is entitled to a fair trial and all, but it appears he is a POS. As a 36 year HS teacher, I have no sympathy for the guy if indeed is guilty. Pathetically sad.

I too would love to think the best, but let's not forget the head of the school committing suicide which too was likely related. So, as was said earlier, likely where there is smoke there is fire.

If you really want to lose your dinner: drive.google.com/viewerng/viewer?url=https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/2704406/CriminalComplaint.pdfIt sounds like not only was Cox hell-bent on having sex with this kid, but Park Tudor spent about 3 weeks withholding crucial evidence to the police while they figured out how to cover their own ass. This is a 20/20 episode waiting to happen. Pure speculation, but I'd bet the head of the school who committed suicide after the search warrant was executed knew that the entire house of cards was about to come crashing down on everyone who had anything to do with this. The school absolutely shit the bed, and they're about to be crucified in the court of public opinion. BTW, high school tuition at Park Tudor is just north of 20K per year.
