Or be able to create turnovers with pressure defense.
Rebounding with a smaller team is not impossible, but it tends to mean sending perimeter players to the boards instead of out on the break.
Teague was a good rebounder not just because of length. He wasn't that tall. Or very big and strong. He was quick and blocked out. It. remains to be seen whether we can replace that. With good depth and athletes on the perimeter, playing passing lanes, we may be able to create more turnovers.
Teague graduated as the 10th all time scorer, 11th in FG's made, 4th in rebounding, 3rd in blocked shots and 7th in steals. It doesn't remain to be seen whether we can replace that. We can't. Other guys will absorb some of those stats just by being on the floor but Taj was the ONLY 1st-team player we've had EVER under this coach. Teague was only 6-8 but had a much larger wing span and was way stronger as a senior last year than you give him credit for. If you combined Thomas, Hazen and Acree into a single player you might have 80% of Teague...maybe. Just imagine if he’d played consistently and focused on his strengths instead of jacking up threes.

He is not a high major starter! Glad he is back but reality is a bitch sometimes! This is the truth

I won’t debate it and thankfully we’ll never know but there are in my view a few programs where Ish could start as in Nebraska, Rutgers, and that’s just one conference.
