Pretty good lively discussion among coaches, PLayers and some fans going on on twitter about who would win the 2013 cards or the 2020 version of the cards.
My vote would of course be 2013 but it strengthens the growing optimism from just about everyone(media inc) that this 2020 is Good or if not good really close to breaking out. I think if you follow the progression of the last 4 years you can see it is deff trending up
We went from losing every mac game by 20-40 points, to losing by 14, to winning a couple, too winning a few and losing the others by less than 7. We are there just have to find that piece to get over the top. Still think the D was the culprit for not getting over last year and it will probably be the same this year.. Gotta find a way to get 3-4 more stops a game

Totally agree with you on seeing the improvement year over year.
It is as you point out easy to see where we need to improve things and recruiting is definitely trying to improve those short comings!

Sadly it has to happen this year because we have 23 seniors and a drop off next year probably can not be avoided. The drop off will likely not be as bad and the cupboard is not as bare as it was 4-5 years ago

IMO, recruiting has been improved the past few years. Our 2021 QB & RB are among the top rated players in BSU hostory. They’ll have to prove it on the field, but I can’t wait. We also have several recent WR’s that are top notch. Weakness still appears to be D. However, two of our DB’s are on national watch lists. If we get to play this year we could be pretty good. Wonder what happens to eligibility for seniors, or how many would return should the season be cancelled?

2013 was a machine and so well coached. I think they’d win in a rout.

So on paper that would mean some really good starters eventually and suspect bench depth

Got to go with 2013. Hard to beat the Wenning, Snead, and Edwards combo on offense. We also had a difference maker on defense with Newsome.

I think any rational person agrees 2013 would win and win going away.. I just like that for the first time in forever we can at least have the convo
It was funny cause Darius Hill chimed in about how it was a good thing 2008 was not included

Must mean Dante. Helluva WR. He was at homecoming last season and seems to be doing alright.

Yeah, geez I'm all screwed up. Dante the WR who was injured during the IU game. He was a tough kid.
