He Brockmired it up, that's for sure (if you haven't seen "Brockmire" on IFC, the first 2 seasons are phenomenal).
You'd think he'd know that any time there's a mic in front of you, don't say anything stupid, no matter what Slim Pickens had to say about the gay community in Kansas City.

True story: Kind-of, sort-of hung out with Thom 2 or 3 times in the 80's due to him being an HS classmate of a college friend of mine. Don't remember him ever offering any opinions on the gay population of any American city.

What a stupid thing to do. It sounds like he's suspended as opposed to outright fire right now. I don't want to see him have to retire over it and I don't like Thom at all.
If I have to hear him tell me that Kyle Schwarber is from Middletown, OH one more time, I might vomit. We know Thom. We know.
