Baker pitched a gem today in game. I'd like better hitting the rest of the series but it's a W and that's what matters.

Took both games on Saturday. A blowout in the first game and a late inning win in the second. Would be nice to get the sweep today. I'd like BSU to be at least 7-1 in their 2 series before they face some of the better MAC West squads. That would provide a little early wiggle room.

Kent lost the first 3 at home to NIU. Wow - no one saw that one coming. 3 of NIU's 4 wins on the season...
Off to a good start today. A 2 out double scores 2 in the first.

Tough loss in 14 innings. It appears we are in trouble if we go more than 6 deep in pitching. WMU's 1st win 15- 12.

Starting pitching and fielding definitely was a letdown today. Would really like to sweep 3-13 Toledo, 7-1 would be ideal although 6-2 wouldn't be the worst thing to begin the schedule.

The reality is that 4 game sweeps will be rare. The two 7-inning Saturday games are awkward and the fourth game will always be a crapshoot with pitching and high scoring games. |

Sweeping Toledo, Butler & Akron should be expected. Sucks to lose 15-12, when you had a 6-0 lead going, and you could've swept a winless team. |

Johnson struck out 5 in the first two innings and then completely fell apart in the 3rd. Also disappointing to lose after coming back to tie it and then having runners on the corners with 1 out in the 12th (I think) and not converting. |
