Baseball? Baseball? Does it still exist at the major league level? Well. I'm a Reds fan so you can understand my total unawareness of anything baseball related.

Everything has become so politically correct; and so many examples The little roller derby team has been steamrolled. They had a fairly worthless trademark established under common law, but nonetheless they had a mark. Interesting case when you read the link it shows baseball knew what they were doing. And TM law is a mess. Hard to predict how it comes out.

The baseball team will settle just to get it out of the way. The roller derby team got greedy.

The baseball team will settle just to get it out of the way. The roller derby team got greedy. Greedy or not, they had intellectual property and if it becomes desirable and valuable I don't like seeing the big guy just walk in and take it.
It's like owning a piece of property that is key to a big development. You may not deserve a lot of credit or wisdom for the decision to acquire it, but it is yours, and if somebody wants it they should pay for it.
