Anyone else prefer "Cleveland Baseball Club!"
I suppose Indianapolis is next. Debate is on I guess they could go back to their original name "The Blues" or adopt Pirates to reflect affiliation with the major league team. They were at one time the Cleveland farm team in the old AA. That was only for a few years, so couldn't be the origin of their name. I did actually see Roger Maris, Rocky Colovito and Herb Score play in Victory Field when I was about 6 years old.

Im from Cleveland/Akron the "guardians" are 4 large statues in Cleveland.. Locals will appreciate the name. Im more pissed that we live in a society of pussies who get worked up about names when there are so many real problems that need fixing

They were probably getting a lot of push-back from their title sponsor Progressive Insurance who has a leftist corporate culture. I really don't think it's big deal, except Guradians is kind of stupid.
