Pacers seem to have drafted a very good SG to add to their second team. High floor, probably ready to play, not so much ceiling. In a move disclosed late they trade Aaron Holiday and #31 pick for #22 pick used for Kentucky's shot blocker Jackson. Not ready for prime time, but is very agile, has a high ceiling if he develops offense.
Duarte would likely replace Holiday at guard on the second unit, or maybe McDermott as an outside wing shooter.
Adding another big, a shot blocker, doesn't seem to be a need, suggests they are trading Myles Turner.

Jackson isn't playing this year, or maybe even next. He's only 19 and will spend at least a season up in Ft Wayne. That trade doesn't necessarily signal a trade of Turner or Saboner, at least not this season. If Jackson does well in Ft Wayne and next year being the last year of Turner's contract makes him more appealing to a win-now team looking for someone on the final year of a deal, then you could see a move next off season, but I think they basically run it back this year. As always though, I could be (and probably am) wrong.

But the important thing, per Rick Carlisle, is whether this pick will help the Democrats make gains relative to the Republicans in Indiana.
