Today, the Cubs sent a bus to Iowa to pick up players for the weekend.

I expected them to trade a few players. I didn't expect getting rid of the entire major league roster, and getting so little in return. This could be a historically bad end to the season.

I expected them to trade a few players. I didn't expect getting rid of the entire major league roster, and getting so little in return. This could be a historically bad end to the season. The return isn't that bad. Except for Kimbrel these were all 2 month rentals. Their farm system took a major leap yesterday, and they got a good MLB player in Madrigal. With a bunch of money to spend this off-season they shouldn't be in a bad spot. |
