The Pacers continue to be last in attendance in terms of number of butts in seats, but have crawled their way up to 28th in terms of percentage of arena filled, over the Wizards and the Pistons.
I admit though, I'm a bit excited now that the rebuild has officially begun. LeVert gone with 3 draft picks coming in, 2 in this year's draft is a huge haul. I expect one or two more moves before the deadline, hopefully for more picks that can be packaged to get another lottery pick this year or next.

They never had a full roster this year. WITH a full roster all year, MAYBE they would be competitive. But they never really had any traction.
If they do go for a rebuild they need three first rounders in 2 years, keep their two good draft picks from this year and hope the remaining vets whoever they are stay injury free. The problem with rebuild is it is always a multi year process, even high draft choices are too often no guarantee.
Would be OK with me if they gamble on a trade or even two where they send a solid player somewhere to get a high risk high return player or players who needs a fresh start. I am not keen on it and hope that is NOT Simmons from the 76ers. That might work, but he seems to be a real drama queen. Maybe instead a first rounder from a couple of years ago that has not yet hit his stride. If they traded both their two big men and got back another first rounder and somebody like the Warriors young center, that might work. Pacers have two young guys at that position. The other issue with a rebuild is they have hired a coach who looked more like a win now choice. If they hit the jackpot he has shown he can work with new talent, but that didn't seem the logic of his hire.

The Pacers made some good trades for the future. I am shocked.
