On television the crowd tonight appears larger than a basketball crowd It was deff the same if not more Saturday with more students and frankly a much better atmosphere... Younger Energetic etc etc |

Win or lose, Ball State’s level of play this year is Noticeably improved. They just “look” different than previous years.

I dont know the first thing about volleyball but I really enjoyed this and the wvb teams mac championship. Not sure how an everyday match is

Another great atmosphere in Worthen Arena last night and what a thrilling 5 set victory over Hawaii! This Ball State team is so talented and fun to watch! Congratulations to first year coach Donan Cruz and our Cardinals!

Win or lose, Ball State’s level of play this year is Noticeably improved. They just “look” different than previous years. Coach Cruz has them running a fast tempo offense. It is fun to watch. |

Get the feeling you guys might disagree with that. Saturday's attendance was listed at 2,003. Where I felt there was a big difference was on the ends. There weren't nearly the number of folks in the endzones on Saturday evening as what there were at the basketball game Saturday afternoon. The announcement at the basketball game was that fans would be admitted to the VB game with the show of their MBB game ticket. I kinda wondered Saturday evening if our "system" was smart enough to count those that came back to the VB game with the MBB ticket. I definitely thought 2003 was a bit shy. As Rob said though, it was a great atmosphere. It is fun to watch if you haven't done so. |
