Very seldom does a defending National Champion and #1 team in America visit Muncie and Ball State, but it’s going to happen Saturday and Monday night at 7:00! The undefeated Rainbow Warriors of Hawaii will make the l3 hour flight to meet the undefeated Ball State Cardinals in Worthen Arena for the first time in history. Let’s have a great crowd both nights to cheer on our Cardinals! 1st year BSU coach Donan Cruz has now won 29 consecutive matches and winning #30 over the #1 team in the country would be a fantastic accomplishment! Ball State’s last victory over the nation’s #1 team was in 1995 when the Cards gave National Champion UCLA their only loss of the season sweeping the Bruins 3-0 in the Hall of Fame Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts celebrating the 100 year anniversary of volleyball.

Even without those players, they looked way off their game if they are truly National #1. That being said, I am all in that this is a positive reflection of the new coach. |

Tonight’s match will be a battle of the minds. Ball State’s mindset will have a huge impact on the outcome of this match. You know Hawaii will come to play after being swept for the first time in a long time. They also gain outside hitter Filip Humler back tonight. Intensity will be high again and BSU crowd will need to be at fever pitch once again. Most BSU students in any sporting event in years were on hand Saturday night and they rocked Worthen!
