I think you find a way to give perks to your most loyal donors and sponsors. Can’t afford to lose big fish. I don’t mean get crazy, but a few extras from time ti time, why not. Absolutely. But, I'm not so sure where you draw the line. And this may be more how you do the line drawing. Sounds a lot like a failure in communication. Usually both sides contribute to that. No real line, but if one of your big boys asks for a little consieration from time to time, give it to them. Doesn't have to be a published perk. Or, simply offer something from time to time. The small things can mean a lot.

Good lord, I didn’t mean to spark such an in-depth conversation on stoops lmao Don't feel bad. It's just the way it works here on this message board. Things spin out of control in unexpected directions more times than not.

Tons of coaches use it. It’s Kelli Miller Phillips favorite word!

All of the basketball activity and these multiple basketball coaching threads are becoming a lot to digest!

Not sure is this video has been linked here yet (if it was, I missed it). It was from when Michael Lewis bounced the ball off of an Iowa players face during an out-of-bounds play: youtu.be/GGAr4fdv_GQFor what it's worth, I love the competitive nature of this act. Reminds me of when Chandler Thompson used to do this routinely though maybe not off of somebody's face.

Would that be a foul on Lewis? The Iowa coach went nuts but I would think his player was using his entire body to try to deflect an inbounds pass and he succeeded by using his face. Seems like you shouldnt get to jump around doing everything you can to hit the ball while also complaining if the ball hits you.

This is a an event IU fans all remember.
Fans had no doubt it's intentional. As you say hard to call it. B10 was a tough game, even in the 90's.
Not sure they had even invented the flagrant foul. Unsportsmanlike conduct? Technical foul? Great question!

The dude was jumping all over the place and made himself a target. (I've hated Iowa players for a long time. They all seem to have punchable faces.
