This has nothing to do with anything in particular, but I was on campus yesterday for the first time in 5 years. Made the visit from Florida to see some family and made a pit stop over to check it out. I’m totally blown away with the recent updates and think the campus looks fantastic! All the new buildings look modern but still fit the old brick style of the original campus feel. I think the “East Mall” view or whatever connects the new health buildings to the village is a good idea. I like how you can actually see the village now from campus. Makes me jealous for sure that none of this was around when I graduated 14 years ago. Felt pretty proud about being an alum after my visit. Hope some or most of you feel the same way about the recent building updates!

The difference the new Science Palace compared to Cooper is hard to describe. Glass and space and places for students to hang out. Labs and classrooms high tech.
Night and day difference.

Cooper had a lot of very low-traffic hallways in the higher floors where you might run into odd and surprising things like bird collections under glass, and dioramas of Ice Age animals and people. I liked it for that.

I liked it for that. I was a Geography major so I lived in Cooper essentially. I definitely remember those displays vividly. Hopefully they stick around in the new setup.

Biology moved, spider collection gone...not sure who owned the birds. Several departments housed elsewhere on campus will now be combined and stay on after remodeling, the one wing is gutted, not sure where those displays are.
