All is well indeed my friend. Go Cards! I was a year behind you. Remember you well. Welcome to the board. Those were good times man. It’s good to reconnect.

00...It is obvious BSU does not have the resources of many of the top schools have BUT, we could take a good look at what and how they recruit and we could incorporate many of their techniques for far less money and have a great official recruiting visit for our prospects. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Why not use the resources we have at the University like the instructors at the Hospitality School for one example. I spent 40 years in the hospitality business traveling around the world and you can spend a fortune for food and beverage if you contract a catering service but you can do it yourself for a fraction of the price. It takes time and effort but it can and should be done.

It takes time and effort but it can and should be done. From what I know we do that. And we should do what we can do. But those additional resources in so many ways mean we are not going to really be a FBS team in the future. The disparity is only going to get worse. When there is an inevitable shake out, we are not going to belong in the same competitive division.

00...I am aware of what you write...we do not have the money...BUT...There is absolutely no reason we cannot look at a Texas and pick up some recruiting tips from them. We do not have to offer $135 steaks but we can do quite a bit IF we use some creativity and the resources we have on the campus. In short do not say no as an out of hand answer, let us say yes we can look, learn, and always do better. What do we have to lose by looking to improve?

We have plenty of weapons on offense. Hunt will be a beast for us.

If you gauge general campus interest in the football program based on butts in seats, you would have to say that the general campus population does not care. I, too, have felt in the past that there seemed to be so many other things we could do with athletics by using expertise already existing on campus, but reality seems to be that most people just don't care enough to cater their academic programs to meet the needs/desires of the athletics department.
