D line play
No pressure at all
Lbs not being sent on any blitzS
Do we have a sack yet?
Secondary play for the most part has been ok. Yea there have been a few issues but if we had more pressure those might fix themselves. It’s almost impossible for a secondary to cover WR for 5 plus seconds every time.
AJ still not a fan of tackling but has been pretty good in coverage
nic jones has been really good overall. He is playing really aggressive

Also, supposedly this is one of the deepest d-lines we’ve had in years. If we are so good on the d-line I’d like to see a lot more pressure on the QB.

Well after watching Pemberton and Barfield I noticed that they were more patient and two or three nice holes opened up Steele not waiting for the door to open tends to just knock it down. Still I agree about not knowing if the O line is good, fair or awful.

Neu’s comments after the game seemed to me to suggest that the o line wasn’t doing enough for Steele, but I tend to wonder along with you if at least some of the run blocking issues is related to Steele’s run style.

Any word on injuries ? I know Will Jones went out early, injured. Then we had a lineman come out and last, one of the two starting tight ends hobbled off the field at the very end of the game when he shouldn't even have been playing. Will jones says he is good

I know we haven't seen much of either, but I guess I just didn't feel that either of these two have shown tackle breaking abilities.

Steele hits up into the line immediately before holes open. It results in either a 1 yard gain, or he busts through and rumbles for 20 yards.
Pemberton definitely has tackle breaking ability and barfield has a little bit of wiggle and burst. Honestly I think all 3 should get carries.

Does anybody know what sections our fans/football families will be sitting for the GASO game? My wife and I are thinking about going to the game as it’s only a 2.5 hour drive for us.

Note worthy Ball State is offering several Juco oline guys. You don’t have to be a smart person to figure out the rest

But if you don’t go after Jucos unless it’s for immediate fix. Juco recruiting is the most high risk venture in recruiting.
