Canadian HS Shop teacher. I swear I am not making this up. The school board and administration are highly concerned about this situation. By which I mean they are highly concerned that the teacher's rights and safety are protected. My own concern would be more that a sick pervert is taking advantage of the overwhelming self-absorbed self-righteousness and power of the woke educational establishment to use a captive audience of school children as part of their disgusting sexual fetish. But that's just me.
“Gender identity and gender expression are protected grounds under the Ontario Human Rights Code,” it read. “We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate to our community that we are committed to establishing and maintaining a safe, caring, inclusive, equitable and welcoming learning and working environment for all students and staff.”
Statements to media by the Halton District School Board said much the same. HDSB Chair Margo Shuttleworth told Postmedia that the board is “creating a safety plan” to ensure that the teachers’ “gender rights” will be upheld. Protecting “gender rights” is “the stance the school board is taking and they are standing behind the teacher,” Shuttleworth told the local paper.
This takes woke thought to its logical conclusion. In case you were confused.
