I think this game determines the rest of the season. If we win this we have a clear path to bowl eligibility. Lose here and we basically have to be perfect the rest of the way.

I'd forget about being perfect the rest of the way. And we probably have to be near perfect even if we do win to get to 6. We aren't close to locks in any of the games where we are favored. |

I was thinking earlier that this week could even be more pivotal than last week. Feels like if we win this week we could catch fire. Lose and we just drift back into limbo

No way we're beating toledo so we HAVE to beat CMU and EMU. There are no "gimmies" the rest of the way. We aren't good enough to have anymore poor efforts.

I was thinking earlier that this week could even be more pivotal than last week. Feels like if we win this week we could catch fire. Lose and we just drift back into limbo I do not see a catch fire scenario, it's a struggle every game, at best. Winning here is possible, but if we do win we can turn around and lose any of the games where we are favored narrowly. |

Inconsistent play is the hallmark of a young team. Looked lost in the first half against NIU and found in the second half. The lost part needs to shorten up a bunch.

The MAC looks to be weak and I do not think a team truly stands out till Toledo |

I get that. As it happens so often for BSU fans, hope and despair alternate as we play each half.
But we need consistency at a high level for a whole game and haven't seen it. Huge question mark.

Absolutely and it will take a full games effort to have any shot to beat CMU. If they do then it’s ucon a game we should win. There’s a chance to make a little run here. |

This is were Paddock steps up and leads the team in “how” to win. This will test how much influence he has over a young team. Nue can do/say so much but then it’s up to the team leaders to take over and command a superior performance from the team. If Paddock can’t impose his will on this team then that tells you how effective he is or will be going forward with the team and subsequently how the remainder of the season will go.

I agree with Redfeather. Upper classmen leadership is so important in the college game. Someone needs to take the lead and carry this team to a win.

Glad to get the TO but Paddock missed a wide-open receiver in the EZ and then the FG is missed! Although the stellar camera work didn’t even show it!
