NIU?  Really? I'd believe Ohio or MIami with Buffalo, but not NIU. Texas will only consider the 10% of each Texas HS. That's why most of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State's enrollment is from Texas. Arizona State. California's party school. |

Acceptance rate can be deceptive.
Who applies? What do the applicants look like in terms of qualification?
If you look at freshman class profile and compare you might get a better picture.
The same students don't apply to MAC and B10 schools, acceptance rate doesn't capture the differences by itself.

Of course, it's a Christian school, so that eliminates a ton of applicants. Most kids who apply there are applying because it's a Christian school. I'd be interested to see BYU's rate. |

With best scholarships available it was a bargain. But then there was the cost of Nordic wardrobe and trekking equipment to get around campus.
