"Just win baby"....Al Davis RIP I am thrilled that we won, but we can not continue to get behind every game and expect a big 4th quarter comeback. Paddock was awful today. I like him, but that’s a fact. If winning ugly is the only way we win, I’ll take it. Celebrate the win by all means, but no need to criticize the 4 of us who hang out on the message board during the game. I am sure you had full confidence we were going to win when we were down 11 in the 4th and our offense showed no signs of life. |

Our receivers/hands were infuriating at times. And we were not wrapping and finishing tackles on D (at least 1st half). We looked sluggish and not hungry at certain positions and points of the game. Were the kids fed ultra heavy carbs right before the game?! And, as with the past many years, where were fans…. Thankful for the win.

It is always entertaining to go back through the posts after you know we won. There is a lot of energy put into those posts while watching a game. Would wear me out.

These threads are hilarious because we are always getting off to terrible starts. Nobody says much after we win. I was frustrated most of the game like all of you. Paddock was bad today. If he continues to play like that we need to move on. Steele was awesome. We need to play a complete game to beat the best MAC teams. This team isn't great, but they are finding ways to win and that is good to see. AMEN! If there is one thing this group can agree on, this year is no Nate Davis, Keith Wenning, or Drew Plitt type team. My personal aspiration for this team is to be bowl eligible. We have won one bowl game win in our history. I would like to have the opportunity to win another. I think usurping Toledo in the West would be extremely tough this year (but still wishing for the best) to be the MAC West representative in Detroit. In short...enjoy having more wins than losses on October 15th  . |

It's always weird when you get thoroughly dominated for 7/8 of the game yet win in the end. Steele was a haus late in the game (thank goodness the staff finally decided to go to him), the D made some big plays, and I thought we got a few calls to go our way. |

We were basically an underdog the whole season, played no non-conference games, were an 10 point underdog at Toledo. Somehow won the conference. If anything, we ARE a Drew Plitt team. We just need to finish the season. |

I’ll say it again….rather win ugly than lose pretty. Every time. It definitely would be nice if we could play well 55 minutes instead of 5 but the W still counts. Might happen next year! |

I had to leave after the first quarter for a family obligation. I just finished the replay and holy hell. I’ll take it, but these are the most excruciating wins I’ve ever experienced.
The main thing I noted is that we have ABSOLUTELY no deep threat. We either run or pass it within 4 yards of the line of scrimmage. Our o-line is not cutting it. The backs have to make their own luck and Paddock rarely has any time. Even when he does have time he doesnt have enough touch for deep balls.
I dont see us reaching bowl eligibility here. I think EMU and Toledo are going to carve us up like a thanksgivng turkey.
