This UConn team is SIGNIFICANTLY better than last year's abysmal squad. Going to be tough to get a win. Glad the game is at home at least.

Yea they are better for sure. Most if not all of us probably had this circled as a win. Still winnable but not a gimme and no way we win if play like we did today.

The UCONN game will tell us a lot about where this team is with their maturity...Will they come out over confident and lay an egg or have they learned every game will be a tough fight and play with intensity. I have no idea which team will answer the door when UCONN knocks this week.

We haven't really had a good game on all counts, both sides of the ball and in that sense we've actually almost been "consistent" in overall level of play.
UConn is another one of these same level games. Playing 1/2 good, 1/2 bad is the likely result, hopefully it's enough.
The first game of the season may turn out to have been a better showing than it looked. UT is kicking ass. So I if Rob is right and we can be "kinda good" (we right now can't predict whether it's on offense or defense) if we play at our best level both sides we have a chance to beat a better team.
I just hope we're too "kinda good" to play badly on both sides and lose games we really are favorites in.

This UConn game is huge for the program. It can be the start of a string "must wins" leading up to the Toledo game on November 8th.

I think we opened 11 point favorites and it was quickly lowered to 9. My guess is a lot of people wanted Uconn +11.
