3 teams get votes to win the conference.
4 teams get no respect at the bottom.
Sparks voted All-MAC.
What's interesting is no other center is listed in the top 10 players.
Still I worry about how, if things are anything like usual there are going to be a couple of MAC teams that are bullies in the paint.

It would appear that the coaches give the Cards a chance to make a good run. A fourth place regular season would result in a pretty interesting seed in the tournament.

I see that Emoni Bates ended up on the second team. I hear he had some first team votes, but they turned out to be somebody else's first team votes that just happened to be in the car with him.
I also see that Kent, Toledo and Akron each have a 1st and 2nd teamer, in addition to being the top 3 vote-getting teams.
Thinking things over, I guess my most optimistic hopes for this team really hinge on Coleman. Wouldn't it be great if he's grown up, has an excellent year, and we kick Kent and Akron's ass for a change?

Fourth place for a first-year coach. Let's see how good the coaches are at predictions. Was BSU predicted this high in any of Whit's seasons?

I was thinking Lewis is actually pretty lucky cause he is not taking on a full rebuild. He is inheriting some talent and getting coleman back.

He added players he has time to work with this year, and should know what he needs as they enter the next recruiting cycle. He may really be under the gun to do well there. It's easy to see us losing most of our starting 5 after this year...
If this group holds together for another year and he gets to recruit just to patch weakness we could really be happy campers.

That's why I said in another post that he should consider sending Whit a Christmas card. Whit was toast, but he did leave two really good freshmen behind in Sparks and Sellers.

Could be interesting to see how we do when we get into MAC play. Our non conference schedule is not the strongest it's ever been, obviously. Hopefully we'll be ready for the tougher teams later in the schedule.

The disclaimer suggests they are basing the projection on incomplete information.
Seem to agree the MAC is weak, but for some reason don't think Toledo does well in conference despite being the best team overall.
