I don’t recall him commenting much on football but for men’s hoops his negativity was pretty justified given the fact we haven’t sniffed the Dance in 22 years, we continually hung on to average coaching talent, we recruited below average and then to have apologists who made an art of excusing that level of shitiness while simultaneously preaching ad nauseam why we could never hope to do better ….it kinda feels like his lack of tolerance and angst were understandable, right. Man that was a long effing sentence. An excellent sentence nonetheless.

Whatever the extent of agreement on negatives, and there always are some, we're all here because BSU means something to us. Granted we're sports fans but we share positive experience related not just to sports.
I'd like to believe that every poster can think BSU was a positive in their life. And at least occasionally see evidence of it.

I attend and follow, fanatically and pathetically at times, whether we suck or win. Just way too much sucking the past two decades in hoops. I give lots of kudos to our recently departed AD who made a bunch of great hires in non-rev sports either because of attrition or her decision that we could do better and it's paid off in virtually every sport. I think Lewis will continue that trend and we need to hire the new AD who has a similar mindset to not settle for lukewarm results just because a coach is nice or good with the students. Being a good human who interacts well with your athletes is the base expectation and then you have to recruit and freaking win.
