I think we'll get 17-18 wins and finish 10-8 in conference.

I tend to think more along the lines of Cardfan, but that might just be wishful thinking.
FWIW at this point, the full Kenpom MAC rankings
UT 86 Akron 110 Kent 123 Buffalo 181 Ohio 205 BSU 230 Miami 262 Western 268 Bowling Green 276 N. Ill.284 Central 303 Eastern 311
BSU moved up 33 spots from its 267 ranking at the end of last year, but that's nothing compared to a couple of other teams on our schedule. Indiana State finished last season at 230; this year it opens at 135. Duquesne finished last year at 280; it opens at 133. Apparently Kenpom giving a lot more respect to the changes at those two schools than at BSU.

I just think we'll be better than that. Whitford is gone.

I’ve lurked on the ISU board a little and they have very high hopes for this year.

Just kinda comparing us to last year when we were 14-17 overall and 9-10 in the MAC.
We've lost 43% of our scoring and rebounding, 37% of our assists and 41% of our turnovers. Most of that in all categories came from Thomas and Cochran.
The one known commodity we add back is Coleman, who basically replaces one of those guys, hopefully with fewer turnovers.
So I guess the question is how much, if any, improvement do we get from the coaching of Lewis? How much improvement do we see from just a year of growth and experience from PBJ? And what do we get from the new additions? I tend to think that we can cover the the loss in raw statistics pretty easily. I'm hopeful that we make some gains in areas those statistics don't speak to directly.

I hope that Lewis actually COACHES this team We shall see. What happens the first time his best player throws a tantrum when he benches him? Does he double down and tells the little baby to sit there until he proves to the team he can follow the rules...or does he cave in pat him on the head right before he puts him back on the hardwood thus showing the team he has no balls? I wanna COACH, NOT a cheerleader best friend to the players. We shall see.

the MAC was 19th out of 33. Mostly I expect 12th or so. Not unusual the top team is in 80's. Not unusual to have a team as low. It's the bottom heavy distribution, and lack of teams in the middle that can beat top tier teams at home.
