Comet I agree our coach is only going to play the people we have seen unless those currently playing are injured. It would certainly be nice to see one or more additional QBs in a game this season but I think injury is the only way it happens.

Many of the guys playing are underclassmen. Most of the freshmen aren’t ready to play so I’m not sure who we’d play other than the guys who have so far. Qb is the main spot where maybe we need to take a look at what else we’ve got. WR needs more talent but a freshman is in the rotation now.

Good point.
This roster is not loaded with talent on the bench ready to go.

USA Today says we're a top 100 team at 96.
Sagarin says 120 behind 10 lower division schools.
My guess that is maybe above the rank of our spending on FB.

I think it was/is their QB. There was also about 5 others listed as doubtful

National media focused on Kents SOS and OOC schedule until about week 6. Many expected them to go 9-3 after hanging with Georgia.
Heading into MACtion, their wins are LIU, Ohio in OT, and Akron by a TD. I think its safe to say they are better than a 3-5 team, but maybe not by much. Id handicapp this as KSU by 3 at home. You guys have a shot here. If anything you have the final starting QB in the West, and have won high scoring AND low scoring games. Dix Stadium isnt a juggernaut. There wont be many in November in this conference. Play clean, you're going to win and go to a bowl.
Toledo has 9 days to get ready for ya, but you guys have hit us in the mouth many times in the Glass Bowl. 2012 and 2020 come to mind.

Gonna be tough to overcome that against the schedule we have left. Our offense is pee wee league right now so I'm not sure we can win any of the last 4 unless there's some miracle offensive explosion. The defense has been really solid but could only hang on so long against EMU till we broke in the 4th QTR. If we don't do anything offensively tonite there's no way we can hold off Kent's offense for more than a half.

www.teamrankings.com/college-football/team/ball-state-cardinals/projectionsEvery single game as been close in the MAC. Winning one more is a given IMO. Probably Miami. Just need to steal another. Id give you guys the 4th best shot to win a bowl game. Ohio and Kent can score but lack defense. Toledo is hobbled offensively but solid on D. Miami cant win a game it gives up more than 20 pts.

You are correct when you day the MAC is close every year. It seems the predictions are correct about 50% of the time. No one makes money betting on the MAC conference games.

When you’re trying to pick a winner between teams representing #’s 110-128 in FBS, the difficulty factor is represented by flipping coins. Hence, the 50% success factor.

Hopefully Kent State keeps running the ball because our pass defense looks like crap.

Bench Tyler. No effort on that INT.
