Someone pre-season said our biggest weaknesses on offense were QB and OLine. It was obvious we were in deep trouble from that, but it still hurts to see us squander the talent we had on the field this year. Steele, Kozial, Tyler, Jackson, all could have been so much better utilized.

Exactly. We are a QB away from going 10-2, winning conference and going to 3rd bowl game in 3 years and crowning Neu the next Rockne. We have had talent splattered across the field. Our coaches are going after the right kids. Things will fall into place. |

Absolutely the staff can recruit. But the staff also is responsible when all that talent we have underperforms, it’s responsible for the lackluster play calling, and it’s responsible for underutilization of players who could help win games. (Like Kelly, who looked good in his snaps at Miami). We failed to win tight games last year and this year. We make the same mistakes every year. Can’t ignore the role of coaching in that. We’re getting the right players, are we coaching them well enough?
