Is anybody else as jazzed as I am about the Artemis missions? The Apollo missions are some of my earliest memories. I was 6 when Apollo 17 landed, and I remember seeing it on TV, and I was amazed (still am, actually) at how people were walking around "up there". It instilled in me an interest in space and science, and I think it can do that for other kids today.
My wife asked me once if I had the chance, would I take a seat on a flight into space, knowing the risks. I just said, "Are you kidding? it's not even a question. I'd go without having to think about it." She seemed surprised, but how could anyone pass up an experience like that?
I'm not usually a fan of government spending on this scale, but DAMN, I just find this stuff really inspiring. God knows we all need some inspiration right now.

Check out the Jay Leno interview with Elon Musk on YouTube. This guy is "beyond driven".
He challenged the traditional ideas of space launches, equipment and travel and is making them work. We have went to several launches and are amazed every time.
NOTHING compares to being on-site to watch a space shuttle launch, though.
