Eastern is 1 game out of the top 8 and a spot in Cleveland. They have a lot to play for. I expect a strong effort from them. Central Michigan is floundering. Western probably gets eliminated Saturday. One of those 4-11 teams is probably going to take the 8th spot.
MAC Bottom 5
8 Central Michigan (5-10) - remaining games NIU, UT, at WMU
9 Bowling Green (4-11) - remaining games Kent, EMU, at Ohio
10 Miami (4-11) - remaining games Ohio, at WMU, at Buffalo
11 Eastern Michigan (4-11) - remaining games BSU, at BG, at NIU
12 Western Michigan (3-12) - remaining games at Akron, Miami, CMU

I don't think either of these comments will have anything to do with the outcome of this game. This could just flat be one real tough game for us. Eastern NEEDS this game to make the tournament and should they really, REALLY want it, they will be an extremely difficult win, up there. They probably have more talent than any team in the league and if they, as players, decide to come to play, it's going to be one really tough assignment. Sure hope they don't and that we can take care of business, but I sure hope they continue in their apathetic ways rather than to take the route of desperation. |

If Mt. Pleasant is the armpit, and K'zoo the buttcrack, Ypsilanti is the open sore you got from the 5 dollar crack-whore outside the Econolodge. It's like Detroit without the sophistication. Churches in Haiti send missionaries *TO* Ypsi. Modeling agencies recruit heavily in Ypsi for the "Before" photos in weight-loss ads, and the "After" photos in drug abuse campaigns.

Sounds like Ypsilanti is a little short on showers and bath tubs. I hope we got their best shot against us in the first game but maybe we didn't. There are no easy wins in this league.

Their basketball facility is nice, probably the best of the three Michigan MAC teams by a long shot. Probably take it over ours as it is right sized for a MAC team. Looking for us to win, but it will not be easy and need to bring our “A” game as we did against Kent.
