Nailed it. This is exactly what we need to do with an important factor-you have to have the personnel to do it. And we just might. The two-deep at the three positions necessary to execute that kind of offense (QB, TE, RB) we seem to have. (We will have to see at WR.) That kind of offensive game plan would keep us on the field and more importantly keep our defense on the sideline. I thought whatever breakdowns we saw on defense had a lot to do with how much they were on the field. You expose your defense enough they WILL get beat. Saw that very late vs Miami in maybe the most frustrating loss ever.....

In the past e have had really good defensive ends that were good pass rushers and also line backers. I forget what we have this year for defensive ends but a good one could take some of he pressure off of defensive backs. I am not a big fan of bend and don't break. You bend and let a team in the red zone all sorts of bad things happen. Do we do this because our D backs are not very good? Well we did have Nick Jones.

A big issue was the lack of any punch from the dline and no pass rush. Hence, a new dline coach….

A big issue was the lack of any punch from the dline and no pas rush. Hence, a new dline coach…. Some pressure from the line even inside pressure makes a big difference. Plus, you can't force turnovers with no pass rush, and as said above, the bend not break will not ever stop the opposing offense completely. You do need turnovers, and passes forced to get the ball back some of the time.
