At this point why even have conferences? Just let the networks contract with the teams they want to put on air, let them decide the schedules, and fuck everyone else!
In lieu of that, I think the Big Ten should add 2 more schools out west, Stanford and Cal maybe, and then break up into 2 divisions. The western division can be called the Pacific, or Pac-10 for short, and the eastern division the Big Ten.
Then they can play their championship game someplace really famous. How about the Rose Bowl?
