Yes, gotta wait to decide anything.
Ga has top defensive coaching, a top D line, were very well prepared, and had enough speed everywhere to target our best RB. Kind of surprising we ran enough plays in 1Q to keep them off the board.
I would not expect us to establish a running game. Nor was it a big surprise to see them win 1 on 1 against our receivers and make every pass an adventure.

No I completely agree we can’t take a whole lot from the first two games, but in comparison Cooper had 90 yards and a TD and 2 receptions for 40 yards last year vs Georgia. This year with us, nothing. 1.5 yards per carry after two games. A back that talented isn’t looking that bad unless there’s functional issues, even against KY and GA. Just my opinion but it feels like we’re too bunched trying to run too much “power” with Cooper, too much between the tackles and not enough spreading things out and helping him find seams to slash thru. He is not Carson Steele back there, running people over.

Cardfan, no doubt they remembered that game last year, targeted him. The D takes away what they know is dangerous, willing to deal on the fly with Plan B.
Why we kept running plays they were stopping dead is a good question. Maybe hoping to keep the pass rush away. We did have to run the ball, were not going to survive a shootout. It all sort of worked 1st Q.
With their personnel I'm not sure what we hoped to do. We weren't going to get many big plays outside, had to make a futile try to have a run game. I wonder what coaches will say after they watch film.
Whole different universe next 2 games.

I actually like our talent, but the coaching and fundamentals still look like the same ole same ole to me I never thought they'd show much. Not any of first 4 games if they can help it. Next 2 I think they'll have to to win.

Kentucky 28-17 Final. That was a EKU team that gave up 60+ to Cincinnati last week.

Funny. With the lack of context provided, the average person might read that and conclude the football program is a cash cow for the university.

It does appease the fans a bit.
Not as much as scheduling IU and beating them, or maybe just playing them close, for a smaller payday.
