My wife and I both said the Cards should go for fourth and two. You need two scores. Showing no confidence in the offense. We said first team to forty wins!

Western's qb is able to hit wide open receivers. We never had a chance in this one.

Over the middle is the best play against our defense. How many times have we been bit this year for TD’s up the middle?

How many times have they hit a reciever over the middle without a defender in sight. We need to learn this play but it would only work against us...

Sigh. Right? This crap is soul crushing. We’ve done nothing but fall backwards the last two years. And it’ll be the same next year. By the time we let Neus contract run out we’ll have an NAIA roster. He has two years remaining through the 2025 season at 655k per year. Not sure if there are any out clauses for the U. We are certainly in a bad place. Reminds me of his first two years when we were getting dominated by our peers. Beth’s one big faux pax .

We had one sack and one TFL. Western had six sacks and 10 TFL’s. Going into the season, we knew our DBs were untested and a potential weakness unless we could get consistent pressure from our D Line. Several of us also pointed out the revolving door approach at QB would likely be an issue and it has been.
We gave up 44 and 45 against Ky and Georgia which was to be expected but now we’ve given up 40 and 42 to Ga Southern and The Broncos. The jury is no longer out, our defense officially sucks and we aren’t good enough offensively to put up those numbers unless we’re playing a FCS opponent.
I naively thought we could be a 5 or 6 win team. I’m wondering now if we can get 3. 🤨

Not sure what happened to our defense, notable injuries? We are playing with no gas vs these guys. I really thought our lack of speed, toughness, fundamentals, and size really got exposed last week vs Georgia Southern

Here’s another trend that we saw against Georgia Southern that continued vs. the Horsies. Of their six TD’s today, they had drives that went for 75, 92, 43, 59, 75 and 85 yards. But, these weren’t grind it out time eaters. Time of possession for those drives was 3:31, 3:57, 2:29, 1:27, 1:38 and 3:22. I didn’t watch the game so either they ran up tempo on multiple drives or we were lost and gave up huge chunk plays just like last week.
If I’m an opposing OC, I’d be licking my chops after watching the last two weeks film.

I watched the NIU and Turds game today on ESPNU.
