We had one sack and one TFL. Western had six sacks and 10 TFL’s. Going into the season, we knew our DBs were untested and a potential weakness unless we could get consistent pressure from our D Line. Several of us also pointed out the revolving door approach at QB would likely be an issue and it has been. We gave up 44 and 45 against Ky and Georgia which was to be expected but now we’ve given up 40 and 42 to Ga Southern and The Broncos. The jury is no longer out, our defense officially sucks and we aren’t good enough offensively to put up those numbers unless we’re playing a FCS opponent. I naively thought we could be a 5 or 6 win team. I’m wondering now if we can get 3. 🤨 I'm wondering if we get to 2! It looks like 3 wins max. And we really get to enjoy this crap again next year?

Eastern is very offensively challenged but has a pretty decent D. Hate to call it a must win but at this point tgey are all must wins

Glad I made it to the ISU game. Got to see our only win of the season. Looking forward to Goshen and Oakland City so I can see basketball’s best performances too.

BG beat Georgia Tech today. Yeah. GT blows a game to a mac team annually. Why do we always schedule the good teams from Georgia?

Mike Neu is a nice guy but has never made good adjustments and simply can’t hire or fire the right assistants!
It’s time to make a change!!!

Is Neu ever fired up or animated in practice or games? He appears fairly disconnected on the sidelines. Heck, save some $$ and let Lewis have a crack at a football game or two. He has a football coach look and personality.

After the GaSo and WMU loses my conclusion is that Indiana State being FCS or whatever, must be really, really bad to lose to our current version of Ball State football 45-7; I hate having to say that.

Time to start looking for a complete change. Sorry coach but not doing anything is no way to run a football program.

Tom Allen just fired his oc at IU after 4 games. think neu would make any type of move like that to try to save a season and therefore his ass?

Mike Neu is a nice guy but has never made good adjustments and simply can’t hire or fire the right assistants! It’s time to make a change!!! 100% Agee with this statement about not being able to hire/fire the right assistants. Therefor, it's simply time to fire Neu and move on. Neu did it himself through his blind loyalty to his assistants. 5 games into the season and the coaches havent named a starting QB. Someone previously said... if you have multiple QB's, you don't have a QB.

I wonder if that is really IUs problem, or if making a change can save the day anyway. IU may or may not improve as a result, but the other point is that's a much easier option for Allen to take. He might actually find someone better. He can afford it... I doubt he'll get a solution. IU and Allen wouldn't be my first choice as an OC to tie up with, but Neu is far worse. We would at best promote a lower assistant and he'd be doomed. Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic at this point. What I don't want to think about is paying two coaches for a year while suffering through this. And then patching the hull on one of the MAC fleet of ships where the whole fleet is in troubled waters. I know, I know, we might still feel better but ... This isn't even like Whit who produced mediocre results...and where a relatively cheap solution might have hope of turn around. In FB it's to me much less likely that we can do that.
