There aren’t many games left where we won’t be a betting dawg. Kent maybe? This is shaping up as a one win season perhaps two. Mitchell will have little patience but few options.

Yep. we played with more spirit today and gave UT a much better game than expected, but we just lack talent. No difference makers and the oline is really disappointing. At most we end with 3 wins but it would be no surprise if we don’t win again. What’s really bad is we’re going to be doing this again next year unless some money appears and Neu gets his buyout. I know the players like Mike but he’s just not a good HC |

BSU is very much in the running for a DFL finish in at least some of the rankings that include all 133 teams!!! I think BSU may control it's own destiny if they run the table. It's an advantage that another candidate, Kent, is on the schedule. A loss there would really impress the voters. e.g. link |

I feel like the Sporting News voters or their algorithm is failing to take into account that we're starting our third different QB without any injury factor. And, we just threw for 38 yards on 16 attempts. That alone should vault us backward into the 130's.

The voters/algorithms just see that BSU beat the spread against Toledo and that hurts. Ordinary, understandable losses are not going to get you to that 133 spot whatever you might say about the QB fiasco. To be the worst you need to receive ass-kickings or lose to other terrible teams. |

While we were not great last year, we did finish at 69% which included Sparks at a sizzling .525. Football this year is by far the marquee attraction. |

A weird statistic about CMU. All three of their losses have been by 24 points and on the road.
They lost by the same margin to Buffalo (2-5) as they did to Michigan State (2-4) and Notre Dame (6-2).

In low usage it's unpredictable, isn't it? If he somehow earned more minutes I'd bet he improves over last year. He'd have to. |
