Congratulations!
You just hit the largest lottery jackpot and walked away with a cool 500 Million after taxes and bullshit and blah blah blah.
How much, if any, would you donate to Ball State athletics? Would there be caveats to them getting the funds? Would you direct it to general athletics or be sport specific? Would you tell them to pound sand?
I'm just curious, if members here fell into a windfall of life-changing cash, if BSU would see any of it.

I would donate $50M to finish the football stadium in exchange for the addition of male and female Quidditch programs to also play in the stadium. That'll draw the students. No streaming contract yet, so they have to attend to watch... Oh. I guess it isn't politically correct to call it Quidditch. Will call it Quadball. What the hell. Another $10M to build an indoor Spikeball arena. Small capacity, but expandable as popularity grows.

After building my Bond villain style volcano lair, I would hijack the world's entire supply of eggplant parmesan and threaten to eat it all myself unless a certain ransom was paid.
Rather than wasting any money on current BSU sports, I would have built a full-sized holographic recreation of the Vegas game, adjusted so that Spicer takes and hits the shot.

$20 million would go to building a high end TV studio at the arena for all of BSU's ESPN and SportsLink productions. Another $50 million would fund a continuing scholarship for students wanting to go into sports production.
I'd buy a suite at the stadium, but that's about it. $500 million won't get us in the Big Ten.

Not so sure I'd give BSU a dime of it at this point. Stewardship isn't exactly strong there.

I would probably not give the school itself any money. But I would do things to support the students. If we have a chess club I would make sure it was well funded and had nice purses for tournaments. If we dont have a chess club I would create one.
I’d also find some stuff to help the architecture students. Great school and those kids work their tails off.

Yes I will buy new Helmets but Im sitting through and giving input on the process Hard to arrange gift exactly like that. At least to operations. Brick and Mortar a little easier to arrange involvement, but impossible even then to have veto.
So make your gift one to come every 3 months (new commitment each time) and let them know what you want and that you are watching...
