Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that you were full of crap. But most schools don't spend 1/10 of that money on equipment. They go with the low level equipment (brands like Hitachi), while BSU has always had top level, industry standard gear. Even then, it would only amount to maybe 1/4. No worries. This person also said the production costs were greater than equipment. That may be, depending on the school. Most schools use students extensively, while others (such as NIU) rely a lot on freelance TV folks. Those guys aren't cheap. It would be cheaper to hire full time staff for critical positions, and students for the less critical positions to do the games (like BSU does).
