Will update as season progresses. This is reserved for the lashings where mike meets player on floor and gives him Holy Hell before he can reach the Bench

Even from the other side of the arena you can tell he is pissed because his whole head turns bright red. Somewhat entertaining.

Wasn't it a tribute to Coach Knight?

Maybe that's an early sign that Doughty and Bell are expected to be major contributors this year. Of those you expect much from, it's very disappointing when they don't deliver.

Doughty for sure.
From Bell, Middleton, and other Freshmen guards we need two players to step up into the rotation.
We've been assuming Watts will contribute.
Jones looks like he will be OK.
RMC made a good point about needing a go-to scorer. That's probably where we'll miss Coleman.

As I think someone said elsewhere, he will need to work on a little quicker release on his shot and gain confidence in taking the shot, but his hustle and work ethic were obvious about 5 minutes in.

Dude Bells a maniac lol.. He got in and ran around like a chicken but I liked it lol He's like a Jack Russell Terrier on speed. I frankly don't think he will play much unless he starts to figure out the plays. Same issue we had last year with Cleary. He's not quite sure what we're running, or who he's guarding or who's on first. He's fast and I think he's a scorer but Lewis has absolutely zero shits to give if you aren't running whatever play he has called or asleep on D. FYI, it took Mike all of about 10 seconds to drop a couple of MF's when someone got lost on the very first offensive possession. He blew three gaskets and turned a bright crimson!

MF is a useful word it’s all in how and when you use. Actually one of my favorite!

I would prefer that he was recruiting MFers rather than screaming them in front of children. But that’s just me

Not many HS players don't come out of the box tough,or disciplined, they really rarely come playing defense, or passing the ball. Rarely are HS stars made all that accountable foir errors.
So. Unless you snag the rare player like Ray McCallum who had good coaching and very great self discipline, or a truly outstanding talent like a Bonzi Wells or tough and talented enough like a Steve Payne or Paris McCurdy...Coaches have a tough job to work around that. You work with what you got. My support for harsh language.
Always wished college professors had the same license sometimes, and had the same amount of time with students that a coach has with players. Good example, patience and gentle encouragement only goes so far without enough contact hours with and commitment by the student.
The shocked little children? Learning how it can get rough out there in the real world?

Blah blah blah: "We can't expect our poor BSU coach to contend for the MAC this year because of [insert description of disadvantage all MAC coaches face]
And yeah, I also contribute to a toughening up of children as a public service. Often times in public when I see, say, a 5-year-old kid, Ill scream out a few MF's for their benefit. I leave it to the parents to explain that concept to the child.

I'm sure the children recognize you are just that grumpy old guy who is yelling at them all the time to get off his lawn. They probably aren't too upset. Don't worry. But, I do agree it's a good idea to trust parents to explain context if it's necessary. Like if the child is actually paying attention or is upset in any way.

Sherm your right toughen those kids from the start. Kids from other states will be running from the little MFs from Indiana when they meet them. Meet the little Card kids!
