We got out-rebounded 24-12 in 1st half. That has to turn around. Seemed like NIU got every 50-50 ball.

Rauch was awful in OT. Missed several point blank shot & her FT’s. Too bad. N. Illinois clearly wanted this one more. Shake it off & get back to work.

We missed at least 10 lay ups. Were beaten in every category which is hard to do. What a run we had but like the rest of you I knew at some point we would lose one. Still aas poorly as we played it took Northern who really played their best game of the year an overtime to beat us. If bounce back there is no guarantee that we can beat Buffalo, Kent and Toledo on the road. .222% from 3point range? Probably will not happen again. Northern defense was good against the 3 and we kept shooting them far too long when it was apparent we couldn't hit the side ofa barn.

I couldn't believe they had 20 turnovers to our 4 and they still beat us. Oh well, if we had to have a wake up call here it is and I'd rather lose one in early February than March. We have to get our mojo back and keep it. |

Ye beating Buffalo, Kent, and Toledo would get #1 seed but I dont't think we can which means the tournament. There will be upsets in the tourney hopefully Northern, BG, Buffalo, Kent have big problems. Buffalo, Kent, and Toledo can't wait to shred us to pieces.

Gotta get our minds right quickly. They had their fun with the win streak— the dancing, the trash talk, the social media/sports link productions, etc. That’s all well and good and they should enjoy the experiences, but they just lost to a bad team and looked bad doing it. Time to reset and really dig in now and truly achieve something. Otherwise we’re just looking at another flameout to no where. Maybe ladies nit or whatever it is again.

Lady Cards get a win over James Madison however it showed something I didn't like to learn. We were handling them easily & led by over 20 points going into the 4th quarter. JMU decided to press. They cut the lead which had peaked at 25 to 9 with about 5 minutes left. They did it by stealing the ball & creating turnovers. While we won by 15 it showed that a much faster team as JMU was is hard for us to play against as Memphis was in the NIT last year. While I think we have a good chance at getting into the NCAA tourney playing a quick team which can press will probably be lights out for us. Our team does not have the physical ability to play that way.
