Tom Allen out at IU. $20 mill left on his contract. A wild rumor out there is that boosters are trying to get Jon Gruden interested in the job. Good luck with that.
Jimbo Fisher out at Texas A&M. $76 mill buyout. Mike Elko from Duke hired. I expected a bigger name, but Elko has been really good at Duke.
Zach Arnett out at Mississippi State. He took over when Mike Leach died. OK OC Jeff Lebby hired.
Dana Holgerson out at Houston. $14 mill buyout. Welcome to the Big 12.
Dino Babers out at Syracuse. I was a little surprised at this one.
Andy Avalos out at the other BSU.
Danny Gonzalez out at New Mexico.
Dana Dimel out at UTEP.
Terry Bowden can't seem to win anywhere, he's gone from Louisiana-Monroe.
Mel Tucker is an idiot.
Pat Fitzgerald... Don't know what to make of that one. Either he was cool with players assaulting each other, or a former player was out to get him.
Rick Stockstill out at MTSU after 18 years.

Cignetti to the Hoosiers? Wow. There goes a promising career. He's 62. Whatever he does with the Hoosiers he's already had a good career.

If he turns the ship around at IU, it's a great cap on a career.
A financial gain, and failure to do so is not likely going to tarnish his reputation.

If he turns the ship around at IU, it's a great cap on a career. Anyone that thinks that he could move Indiana to a 8-3 or 9-2 season record is delusional.

I’m thinking 7-5 his first year.
The Big However Many is a rough conference for iu. The guy is setting the expectations high, like “we’re gonna be in the big 10 championship game next year”, which is a little nuts on day 1.

IU will have a hard time matching this year's record in 24.

IU has definitely provided a very helpful 2024 schedule –
(1-0) Florida International Panthers (2023 Record 4-8) – Win
(2-0) Western Illinois Leathernecks (2023 Record 0-11) – Win – Probably early Homecoming game for donations.
(2-1) UCLA (2023 Record 7-5) – Loss - Road game
(3-1) Charlotte (2023 Record 3-9) – Win
(3-2) Maryland (2023 Record 7-5) – Loss – Home game could help, but reality returns and Terps will win
(3-3) Northwestern (2023 Record 7-5) – Loss – Road game
(3-4) Nebraska (2023 Record 5-7) – Loss – Home game will help, but NU is in the second year of the rebuild with lots of NIL spent.
(3-5) Washington (2023 Record 13-0) – Loss – WTF who scheduled this one? Home game to show the donors what a National champion level team looks like and costs. (3-6) Michigan State (2023 Record 4-8) – Loss – Road game after the beatdown by Washington. Could be close, but no real chance for an upset.
(3-7) Michigan (2023 Record 12-0) – Loss – Home game but no chance.
(3-8) Ohio State (2023 Record 11-1) – Loss – Road game OSU streak goes to 29 straight wins.
(3-9) Purdue (2023 Record 4-8) – Loss – Road game. Could be close. Two lame programs celebrate the annual Hoosier Futility Bowl
Could they get to a bowl? Seriously doubtful. Road games are always tough, Maryland could be an opportunity for a win, but where else is the flaw in the forecast? Purdue? 4-8? How do you get to a 7-5 record?

Former HC at Kent State, Sean Lewis, was hired by Deion Sanders at Colorado as his OC; then when things started going south for Colorado, Sanders replaced Lewis as OC: As Footballscoop recently reported: "In a move that is still puzzling to many, after fielding a top 40 scoring offense through the first part of the season, Deion Sanders opted to change offensive play callers at Colorado, handing the reigns to former NFL coach Pat Shurmur while Lewis focused on the quarterbacks". Be that as it may, Sean Lewis has been hired as Brady Hoke's replacement at San Diego State: footballscoop.com/news/san-diego-state-begins-new-era-with-sean-lewis
