If the whispers coming out of the program today about the number of players entering the portal are true, Mike and his staff are going to have to be very active in the portal.

Well, IMO there seem to be several factions within the team. The Kelly should be the Qb, period faction, the Lynch needs to go faction, and the now allegedly an issue with Connolly? Hard to say what’s real and what’s just talk but anytime you keep a staff in a losing program there’s going to be all kinds of hurt feelings. So, the wheels could be completely coming off or there could just be more smoke than fire. I will say I’ve been surprised that several of our talented young linebackers can’t get on the field. We seem to be, um, not as athletic as we should be at that position. Overall I’m guessing there are dissatisfied players in every position group. Having yet another losing season brings that stuff to the surface.
Hopefully things won’t go too far south and the team leaders hold things together.
