Y’all were big on Sparks’ ability. I am in the minority that saw him as not having natural basketball moves and being one dimensional that hurt us against good competition. That being said, I was very surprised that Lewis did not make him any better than his previous season

That being said, I was very surprised that Lewis did not make him any better than his previous season I disagree. Sparks developed a right hand and scored a good number baskets with it. Did not have that his frosh year. The other part of his game that improved drastically was passing out of the double-teams. He went from an unknown frosh to a marked man where teams constantly ran somebody at him. Was disappointed with his FT troubles which have followed him to IU. Sparks just isn’t real agile and doesn’t have great lift. Got a dunk attempt blocked in his last game.

Ben Hendriks is quickly working his way onto the list of greatest Canadians of all time. Right up there with Dudley Do-Right, Alexander Graham Bell, Dan Aykroyd, and Francis Kiapway. Bell was a Scot.

I agree he developed handling pressure inside, and some on the P&R game. We didn't need him outside.

That being said, I was very surprised that Lewis did not make him any better than his previous season I agree regarding his athletic ability in particular. He's flat footed, slow, and often clumsy. His basketball skills were mid probably at best. More than anything he was a determined, physical brute. In hindsight, he really hurt our offense because he forced it so much. Sellers should've had a MONSTER year last year.

Very strong. He improved also his skills and let us get good outside shots.
He was limited, but he was good in that inside role.
Sellers benefitted. Others. The issue is not whether Sellers or others had potential to play differently, maybe better, but whether we had the team where that was ever possible. And the use we made of him was optimal on that team, made us overall a better team.
Be real. We could not have played anyone else better, and he was ineffective playing away from the basket. Playing half court fit that team.
His lack of athleticism hurt on defense, but he rebounded the ball. Imperfect player, but very good in the MAC.
